beehiiv Launches New Plans and Pricing (October 2026)
Every product, on every plan. Empowering the next generation of content creators with more powerful tools.
We launched beehiiv back in 2021 with one simple goal: build the absolute best platform for people to seamlessly create, grow, and monetize their newsletters.
We’ve come a long way since then.
Today we are home to hundreds of thousands of the top content creators in the world, and send over 5 billion emails every single month. I believe that we have largely succeeded in building the most powerful newsletter platform in the world.
But the most successful brands and content creators now engage with their audience across many different channels and mediums. Our product and roadmap reflect that reality.
Today we’re rolling out new plans and pricing to equip our users with the latest capabilities, and the convenience to have everything they need with just a single login.
It’s only the second time we’ve ever updated our plans and pricing in beehiiv’s near five year history, so I want to walk you through what’s changing and why.
First, if you’re already a customer, nothing changes until your first renewal on or after November 1, 2026. If you're on an annual plan, you keep your current price until your term renews.
Now the why.
Over the past several years, we have greatly expanded the capabilities of the platform. To name just a few:
Ad Network. Premium sponsors like Netflix, HubSpot, and Notion come to you, with no pitch decks and no cold emails. We now pay out more than $1M a month directly to creators.
Website Builder. A full site with custom pages, SEO, member logins, and paywalls, all connected to your newsletter.
Podcasts. Host, distribute, and monetize your show right next to your newsletter. It's one audience and one dashboard, and your episodes can earn from sponsors too.
Community. Give your most engaged readers a place to talk to each other, not just to you. Add paid channels and it becomes a reason to upgrade.
Digital products. Sell ebooks, templates, courses, and coaching to the audience you already have. We take a 0% platform fee on every sale.
But we have also invested heavily in the core features that you know and love. Each week we push dozens of regular updates to improve the email and newsletter product and workflows:
The editor. Write, design, and collaborate with your team in one place, and what you see is exactly what lands in the inbox. We think it's the best writing experience on the internet.
Automations. Welcome series, re-engagement, and upsells run on any trigger, so your newsletter keeps growing and earning when you're not at your desk.
API and MCP. Build on top of beehiiv, or run it straight from Claude or ChatGPT. Draft a post, pull your stats, or build a segment just by asking.
Email deliverability. The best newsletter in the world is worthless in a spam folder. Our infrastructure delivers 99.3% of your emails, so your work actually gets read.
It’s been awesome to watch newsletter-first publishers reach more people, generate more revenue, and cancel three or four other tools as they consolidate their stack on beehiiv.
With this update, we are also making a few changes so you get more from every plan:
More AI on every plan. Your credits stretch further whether you're writing in the editor, using the beehiiv Agent, or running beehiiv through Claude or ChatGPT.
Grow to 250K without a sales call. Self-serve plans used to force you into Enterprise at 100,000 subscribers. Now Pro takes you all the way to 250,000.
Every core product on every plan, including Free. Try podcasts, community, MCP, and digital products before paying a cent.
A bigger annual discount. Paying annually now gets you up to two months free.
And of course, we still take 0% of your paid subscription revenue. That's not changing. And neither is our generous free plan (up to 2,500 subscribers with full access to all core products).
We don't grow beehiiv by just raising prices. We grow it by making the platform worth more, and that's what we've spent the last few years doing. Our plans should reflect how creators actually use beehiiv today.
The FAQ below covers all of the details. If you have questions, email me at [email protected]. I read everything.

What's changing?
We’ve introduced a new set of plans with updated features and limits, and pricing for our paid plans is changing.
Here’s how the new plans map to the old ones:
Old plan | New plan |
Launch | Free |
Scale | Lite |
Max | Pro |
Enterprise | Enterprise |
*Plan: the type of account you're on, which determines the features you can use. We now offer four plans: Free, Lite, Pro, and Enterprise.
New pricing takes effect for new beehiiv customers starting October 1, 2026. If you're an existing customer, nothing changes until your first renewal on or after November 1, 2026.
Why are prices changing?
Updating prices lets us continue investing in our core platform experience: the publishing flow, automations, growth and monetization tools, and the sending infrastructure that keeps your posts landing in inboxes.
Will I lose access to anything I’ve built in beehiiv as a result of this change?
No. All the content and workflows you’ve already built in beehiiv will carry over without interruption.
When will I see the new pricing in my account?
On your first renewal on or after November 1, 2026.
Monthly customers: you'll get at least 30 days' notice before your first bill at the new price.
Annual customers: you keep your current price through the end of your current annual term. You don't need to do anything. Your plan moves over automatically.
*Renewal: the date your plan bills next, monthly or annually.
What's the difference between beehiiv Lite and Pro?
Lite has everything you need to publish, grow and start earning. That includes paid subscriptions with 0% platform fees, ad monetization, automations, the beehiiv MCP, audience polls and A/B testing, for up to 100,000 subscribers.
Pro includes everything in Lite, plus higher limits and more advanced tools:
Up to 250,000 subscribers (vs. 100,000)
10 team seats and 10 publications (vs. 2 and 3)
Unlimited guest authors (vs. 3)
Unlimited analytics history (vs. 12 months)
Remove beehiiv branding
Webinars and coaching
Dynamic content and webhooks
More AI credits
24/7 priority support
*Subscriber Tier: Paid plans are priced by how many subscribers you have. Each tier has an upper limit, and that's what we mean by Subscriber Tier. Example: I'm on Lite at the 10,000 subscriber tier. I get Lite features and pay for up to 10,000 subscribers.
*Subscriber Limit: the most subscribers a plan supports. Past that, you'll move to the next plan up. Example: Free supports up to 2,500 subscribers. Pro supports up to 250,000. Beyond that is Enterprise.
You can compare every feature on our pricing page.
I'm on the free Launch plan. How does this affect me?
The Launch plan now maps to our new Free plan.
It still supports up to 2,500 subscribers and now includes Community, alongside your website and podcast. You can see which features are included with each plan on our pricing page.
What are the plans, tiers, and prices?

Yearly billing shown per month. Enterprise plans are available at any size through our Sales team.
The biggest difference is what’s included, and what you keep. Every beehiiv plan gives you access to the full ecosystem: newsletters, websites, podcasts, community, and more. And beehiiv never takes a cut of what you earn. If you monetize through paid subscriptions, a competitor’s 10% platform fee can add up quickly.
How can I lower my subscription cost?
There are a few ways you can save:
Switch from monthly to annual. Annual billing is a significantly better value than monthly.
Make sure you're on the right tier. Cleaning disengaged subscribers from your list may move you to a lower tier.
Offset your subscription cost with revenue. beehiiv enables you to earn in a number of ways, which can offset or even cover your subscription cost.
I have a discount on my account today. What happens to it?
It carries over to your new plan. Discounts can't be combined, so if you redeem a new offer later (like a Black Friday deal), it replaces your existing discount. If a payment fails and your plan is canceled, any discount on it is removed.
My subscriber tier changed. Why?
Paid plans are priced by subscriber tier. Some accounts had grown past the tier they were billed for, and as part of this update, we've moved those accounts to the tier that best matches their current subscriber count.
Like every other change in this update, your new tier won't be billed until your first renewal on or after November 1, 2026, and you can of course remove subscribers to reduce your subscriber tier. Learn more about managing your subscribers here.
How can I make beehiiv pay for itself?
Many creators use a mix of features to cover the cost of their plan:
The beehiiv Ad Network: get paid to run ads from brands in your posts.
Paid subscriptions: charge readers for premium content, with 0% platform fees on Lite and Pro.
Digital products: sell templates, guides, coaching, and other resources directly to your audience.
Paid recommendations: get paid to recommend other newsletters.
If you haven't explored these yet, start here.
How do I learn more or purchase an Enterprise plan?
Enterprise plans are available at every subscriber tier. To learn more, discuss pricing, or upgrade, please complete the form here, and our team will be in touch shortly.
Enterprise plans include advanced features like enhanced security (SSO/SAML), dedicated IPs, and a dedicated customer success manager.
