Existing subscribers will continue at their current price unless they cancel and re-subscribe. **Can I pause the paid subscription instead of canceling it?** Yes, you can toggle your paid subscriptions on or off anytime by navigating to **Monetize > Paid Subscriptions >** [**Paid Tiers**](https://app.beehiiv.com/monetize/subscriptions/paid_tiers) **> Configure Paid Subscription Tiers** in your account. However, keep in mind that subscribers pay for monthly, quarterly, or annual access to your paid content. Pausing your subscription tiers could impact the value they expect within their active subscription periods. > **Important Note** > > Turning off or disabling paid subscriptions in beehiiv does not stop active paid subscribers from being charged in Stripe. To fully pause or cancel billing, you’ll also need to manage those subscriptions directly in Stripe. For help with that process, reach out to [Stripe Support](https://support.stripe.com/). ![](https://beehiivhelp.zendesk.com/hc/article_attachments/28655899982359) **Can I let my subscribers join multiple subscription tiers?** Yes, you can enable this option from the Paid Tiers tab of your Paid Subscriptions. By default it is disabled.  To turn it on, go to **Monetize > Paid Subscriptions >** [**Paid Tiers > Advanced Options**](https://app.beehiiv.com/monetize/subscriptions/paid_tiers), then toggle on **Allow Multiple Recurring Subscriptions**.  Enabling this option will not affect One Time and Name Your Price purchases. When disabled, purchasing a new subscription will replace their existing one, regardless of tier. ![One Paid Tier at a time.png](https://beehiivhelp.zendesk.com/hc/article_attachments/37654205761303) **What happens after a vistor upgrades?** If a visitor upgrades but has not yet signed in, they will be automatically directed to log in to access their subscription upgrade.
