# Managing settings for a legacy website

The [Settings](https://app.beehiiv.com/website_builder/settings) tab in the Website Builder is where you’ll find some of the global controls for your account. 

We’ll go over all of these below, simply click on each option to reveal its content.

**Pixels Settings**

[**Pixels**](https://app.beehiiv.com/website_builder/settings/pixels) is where you can [add tracking pixels](https://www.beehiiv.com/support/article/13054450011671-How-to-set-up-tracking-pixels) for: 

-   Meta (Facebook)
-   X (Twitter)
-   TikTok
-   Google Analytics (GA4)
-   GoogleTag Manager
-   Google Search Console Verification Code

New entries will be saved automatically.

**SEO Settings**

In the [**SEO**](https://app.beehiiv.com/website_builder/settings/seo) settings, you can toggle on or off **Breadcrumbs** and **Remove Indexing**.  
  
Changes to [your SEO options](https://www.beehiiv.com/support/article/12285228450327-What-Is-no-Indexing-how-do-I-enable-It) will be saved automatically.

**Social Link Settings**

[Social Links](https://app.beehiiv.com/website_builder/settings/social_links) is where you can add your customized social URLs for: 

-   Facebook
-   X (Twitter)
-   Instagram
-   LinkedIn
-   YouTube
-   TikTok
-   Threads
-   Discord 
-   Bluesky

Changes will be saved automatically when you [add or update your social links](https://www.beehiiv.com/support/article/12244849554071-How-to-add-or-update-your-publication-s-social-links#h_01HYC8QZR17KZ4G3R6D8TP80MC).

> **Tech Note**
>
> Social links that are removed or left empty will not appear in the footer of your publications. However, when you preview your post, you'll still see all the icon options. Rest assured, when you send a test email or publish it, only the icons with links in your Social Links Settings will appear in the footer.

**Email Capture Settings**

The [**Email Capture**](https://app.beehiiv.com/website_builder/settings/email_capture) settings allow you to require users to subscribe or sign in to your publication site to access content**,** giving you options like [gating your content or adding a popup subscribe form](https://www.beehiiv.com/support/article/12978517314327-How-to-gate-your-content-or-set-up-a-popup-signup-form). Changes in this section will be saved automatically.   
  
For the **Email Capture Type**, you can choose between: 

-   **Gated:** Users will be required to subscribe or sign in to your publication site in order to read the content.
-   **Popup:** Anyone can read your posts, but a popup will ask them to become a subscriber or sign in once they scroll down 50% on the page.
-   **None:** Users will not be asked for their email address to subscribe or to log in to your publication site in order to read the content.

**Signup Flow Settings**

[**Signup Flow**](https://app.beehiiv.com/website_builder/settings/signup_flow) is the journey that new subscribers are taken through after signing up for your publication, and these settings are where you can customize the path they take. 

When [creating your Signup Flow](https://www.beehiiv.com/support/article/24980737561367-How-to-create-a-Signup-Flow-for-your-publication) of the pages your subscribers will go through, you’ll have multiple redirection options, including ending on a custom URL linking to the webpage of your choice. New signups to your publication will be redirected through the toggled-on steps in the order they are displayed here.

**Comments Settings**

In the [**Comments**](https://app.beehiiv.com/website_builder/settings/comments) settings, you can manage the comments that are made on your posts, but you’ll first need to enable the option.  
  
Toggle the **Post Comments Section** on to [enable your post comments](https://www.beehiiv.com/support/article/13288532732567-How-to-enable-comments-for-a-publication-or-post), organize how comments are shown, and set any bans necessary. Any changes or updates to this section will be saved automatically.

**Notification Settings**

What you see in the [**Notifications**](https://app.beehiiv.com/website_builder/settings/notifications) settings here will depend on if you have already enabled ‘Post Comments’ in your Notification Preferences.  
  
If ‘Post Comments’ has not been enabled, then you will be asked to do so. Or, from the upper right corner of your account, click your **profile** **icon >** [**Notification Preferences**](https://app.beehiiv.com/current_user/notification_preferences)**.**

Once enabled in your Notification Preferences, you will have the option to **Enable Notifications** by toggling it on, which will notify users when new comments have been made. Changes will be saved automatically.

**Mobile App**

You can enable a [**Mobile App**](https://app.beehiiv.com/website_builder/settings/mobile_app) for your publication to allow your readers to install a mobile app directly onto their device. Simply toggle the [**Enable Mobile App**](https://www.beehiiv.com/support/article/25087428892311-How-to-enable-and-install-the-mobile-app-for-your-publication) option on, saving the change to your account automatically.

**Security Settings**

The [**Security**](https://app.beehiiv.com/website_builder/settings/security) settings are where you can enable or disable a cookie banner and your company Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for enhanced site security.  
  
Your [publication’s security options](https://www.beehiiv.com/support/article/14809395228183-How-to-enable-CAPTCHA-and-other-security-settings) can help you to become GDPR and CCPA compliant. All changes to this section are saved automatically in your account.

**Static Pages**

In the [**Static** **Pages**](https://app.beehiiv.com/website_builder/settings/static_pages) settings, you can toggle on the **Authors Page** option and customize or remove the featured authors for your publication. To promote additional publications in your organization, you can select them under the **Multi-Publications** section.

All changes made when [managing static pages](https://www.beehiiv.com/support/article/15594403635863-Where-to-manage-static-pages-to-your-publication-site) are saved automatically.

**Theme Reset**

Under [**Theme Reset**](https://app.beehiiv.com/website_builder/settings/theme_reset), you always have the option to reset your theme customizations and start from scratch. To do so, click on **Reset Site Theme**.
