# How to share a newsletter post to social

After publishing a post, sharing it on social media is one of the most effective ways to reach new readers and build excitement around your content. The **AI Social Helper** makes this process faster and easier by helping you craft platform-ready posts in your brand voice.

With built-in options to adjust the purpose and tone, the AI Social Helper creates optimized social media content tailored to your goals.

## Quick tips to get you started

-   You have **30 AI credits per day, per session** to generate posts, giving you ample opportunity to optimize each post to your liking. Each time you click **Generate**, one credit is used.

## How to generate social media posts using AI Social Helper 

1.  [**Create your post**](https://beehiivhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/26311866535575) **in beehiiv.** On the [Review page of the post flow](https://beehiivhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/31813557023255), when you're ready to send or publish, click **Schedule** at the bottom.

2.  **Choose your publishing option.** A modal will appear with your scheduling options. **Click Publish Now** to immediately send your post.

    >
    > If you schedule a post, you can still access the AI Social Helper after it publishes. Go to the post, open the **Edit post** dropdown menu, and click **Share post**.

3.  **Access the AI Social Helper.** The AI Social Helper modal will appear with a direct link to your post. Click **Copy** to copy the link to your clipboard and share it anywhere.

4.  **Select your social platform.** Below your post link, you’ll see sharing options for various social platforms. You must be logged into each platform to post directly.  
      
    Supported platforms include:

-    
    -    
        -   Facebook
        -   X (Twitter)
        -   LinkedIn
        -   Threads
        -   Mastedon
        -   Bluesky

5.  **Try the AI Social Helper tool.** Click on the **Generate social posts** button, which will open customization options for creating your post.

6.  **Customize your social post.** You can tailor your generated post by selecting the following options:

**Purpose:** Choose the main goal of your post.

Options include:

-   Drive Traffic
-   Repurpose Content
-   Drive Engagement
-   Thought Leadership
-   Personal Branding
-   Newsletter Promotion 

**Tone:** Match the post to your brand’s voice.

Options include:

-   Professional
-   Casual
-   Excited
-   Informative
-   Humorous
-   Inspirational
-   Educational
-   Conversational

**Platform**: Select the platform you’re posting to so your post is optimized accordingly.

Supported platforms include:

-   Facebook
-   X (Twitter)
-   LinkedIn
-   Threads
-   Mastedon
-   Bluesky

> Character limits for your posts are determined by the platform you select.

7.  **Generate the social post.** After you have made your selections, click **Generate** to create your social post.

8.  **Adjust and regenerate if needed.** If you want a different result, simply tweak your **Purpose**, **Tone**, or **Platform** and click **Generate** again. You can also manually edit the generated post to further tailor it to your voice or message.

    > You have 30 AI credits per day, per session. Each click on **Generate** uses one credit.
    
9.  **Share your post.** Once your social post has been generated, you’ll have two options for sharing:

-    
    -   **Post directly on the intended platform:** Click the **Share on** button to share directly to the platform you generated the post for.
    -   **Post manually on a different social media platform:** Click **Copy to Clipboard** to copy and then paste the content into another platform.
