# Using beehiiv Agent

beehiiv Agent is beehiiv's AI assistant built into your account. It is designed to help you draft, summarize, plan, and personalize your content with an assistant that understands your audience, your data, and your voice. beehiiv Agent is fully integrated into the beehiiv app, meaning you never have to leave or interrupt your workflows to get the answers you need fast.

## How to access beehiiv Agent 

There are two ways to access beehiiv Agent: 

-   **Side Navigation**: Click on the **Ask beehiiv** sparkle button in the left side navigation to open a full-page beehiiv Agent experience.

-   **Keyboard shortcut**: Press **⌘J** (Mac) or **Ctrl+J** (Windows) to open a handy modal you can use on any page as a part of your existing workflows.

## What beehiiv Agent can help with

beehiiv Agent acts as a newsletter and email deliverability expert. You can ask it to help you interpret your metrics, talk through growth strategy, or work through ideas for upcoming posts.

beehiiv Agent is publication-aware, meaning it has context on your publication's name, description, and data. Its responses are grounded in your actual metrics, including things like bounce reasons and post performance, rather than generic advice.

When beehiiv Agent gives you recommendations, it limits itself to three actionable suggestions per response, and it references specific posts by subject line and send date so you can see exactly what it is basing its advice on.

## beehiiv Agent vs. the beehiiv MCP

beehiiv Agent and the beehiiv MCP (Model Context Protocol) are related, but not the same thing.

**beehiiv Agent** is beehiiv's own native, in-app assistant. It lives inside your beehiiv account and is what you use when you want AI help without leaving the platform.

beehiiv Agent can do everything the beehiiv MCP can do. The main advantage of beehiiv Agent is that you never have to leave your beehiiv account or set up a separate external AI tool to get that help.
