Adding a border around a group section is a simple way to visually separate part of your post, like calling out a sponsor message, a highlighted quote, or a distinct segment within a longer newsletter. This article walks through grouping content into a section, styling its border and spacing, and managing sections once they're set up.

How to add and customize borders around group sections

Start by grouping the content you want bordered into a single section, then use the same panel to style its border, spacing, and color.

  1. From an open post, highlight all of the content you want to group together within a border.
  2. Hover over the left of the selected content to bring up the 6 dots menu. Click the 6 dots menu, then select Group to section.
  3. The sections will now be grouped together. Open the 6 dots menu to the left of the group again and select Custom styles from the menu options.
  4. The Custom styles panel opens, where you can customize the section's Spacings, Borders, Background color, and Text color. You can also click Reset all to revert the settings.
  5. Click Borders to customize the section's borders, using the following options:
Radius controls how curved the edges are.
Thickness controls the width of the border line.
Style lets you choose Default, Solid, Dashed, or Dotted.
Border color opens a color picker with a hex input and your recently used colors.

By default, Radius and Thickness apply the same value to all four corners or sides. Click the individual-sides icon next to either one to set each corner or side separately instead. Click Reset all to revert any border changes.
  6. Click Spacings to customize the section's spacing.
Inner spacing is the space between the content inside the section and the border itself.
Outer spacing is the space above and below the section, separating it from surrounding content.

As with Borders, both default to a single uniform value. Click the individual-sides icon to set top, right, bottom, and left independently instead, either by typing a value or using the sliders. Click Reset all to revert any spacing changes.

How to duplicate, copy, or delete group sections of a post

Now that you've customized the border styles, colors, spacing, and other attributes of your sections, you can easily duplicate, copy, or delete these sections to maintain consistency without needing to reconfigure any settings.

  1. Click the 6 dots menu to the left of a block or section and select Duplicate. A copy of the block or section will appear below.
  2. You can also select Copy to clipboard to copy the entire section or block, allowing you to paste it wherever you need within the post.
  3. If you wish to delete the entire block or section, select Delete from the menu options. Changes will be synced automatically.
