How to change your beehiiv account email
Your beehiiv account email is the email you use to log into your account and it is also where we will send you notifications and messages regarding your account. It is different from the reply-to address of your publications and can be changed directly from your account.
Your beehiiv account email (the email you use to log in) is different from your publication's email username (the 'from' address subscribers see). This article covers changing your account login email. How to update your beehiiv account email
- Log into your account and click on your profile in the top-right corner of the navigation bar. From the dropdown menu, select Account Security.
- The page will load with your security settings. Under Account Security click Update Email.
- A Send New Email Confirmation modal will pop up. Enter the new email into the field and click Send Request.
- You’ll receive a quick success message at the top of your screen letting you know to check your old email address for a verification email.
- Open your previous email account and find the 'Email Change Requested' message from beehiiv. Click Verify in the email to confirm the change.
- After clicking Verify, your beehiiv account will open, displaying a banner at the top of your dashboard to confirm your email.
- Go to the new email account where the confirmation email was sent and find the 'Please Confirm Your Email' message from beehiiv. Open the message and click Verify to complete the change.
- After clicking Verify, your beehiiv account will open again. Your updated email will now appear under Account Security when you click your profile in the top-right corner of the navigation bar.
Troubleshooting email change issues
If you encounter problems while changing your account email, try these solutions:
‘Verification email already sent’ error
If you see an error stating the verification email was already sent when trying to resend the confirmation code:
- Check both your old and new email inboxes (including spam/junk folders) for messages from beehiiv.
- The verification process requires two emails: one sent to your old address and one sent to your new address. Be sure you have access to both accounts.
- Wait a few minutes before attempting to resend the verification email.

Email validation fails with no error message
If the email change form accepts your new email address but shows no error or success message:
- Confirm the new email address is not already associated with another beehiiv account.
- Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again.
- Try using a different browser or an incognito/private browsing window.
Lost access to your old email account
The email change process requires access to both your old and new email addresses to complete verification.
