Featuring a podcast feed on your site

Bring your podcast and newsletter together in one seamless experience. With beehiiv’s native website podcast integration, you can automatically pull in episodes from any podcast RSS feed, display them beautifully on your site, and give your audience a central hub to read, listen, and explore your content.

This article will walk you through how to add a podcast feed to your site, customize its appearance, understand how individual podcast pages work, and review answers to common questions.

1. Open the Website Builder and navigate to the page where you want to add your podcast feed — or create a new custom page specifically for the podcast.
    
2. Add the Podcast block. From the left-hand toolbar, click the + icon to open the elements menu, then scroll down to Integrations. 
   
   Select the Podcast RSS Feed element, and drag it to your desired spot on the page.
   
   
   
3. Find your podcast. The block will initially display beehiiv placeholder content. Go to the design panel on the right to replace it with another live podcast feed. 
   
   
   
   
   Under Settings, you can:

• Enter the podcast link: Add the desired podcast RSS URL directly to the field. 
• Search for the podcast by name: Use the search bar to find your podcast (easiest).
• Select the episodes: After selecting a show or adding an RSS URL, click Latest to choose which episodes to feature.

Or, under Podcast YouTube Channel, you can manually add a YouTube channel or playlist to be featured on the page. 

4. Customize the design. In the design panel, adjust the Layout, Card, Thumbnail, Title, and Date options to match your brand. You can enable horizontal scrolling, change thumbnail styles, or modify text and background colors for your feed cards.
   
   
   
5. Publish the page to make the podcast feed live and activate individual podcast pages.

Once published, each episode featured in your feed automatically generates its own podcast page on your site. These pages inherit your website theme’s default background, fonts, and color palette. (At this time, podcast pages are not independently customizable.)

Each podcast episode page includes:

• A native audio player to listen directly on your site.
• The episode title, cover art, and description.
• A full transcript and timestamps (if available).
• A ‘Listen on’ section linking to major platforms like Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
• A Recent Episodes section with links to previous episodes.

Your audience can either play episodes right on your site or open them in their preferred podcast app.

How does this Podcast feature work?

You can easily create a dedicated, customizable page for your podcast show that automatically pulls in episodes from your RSS feed. Think of it as a polished home base — complete with artwork, descriptions, and individual episode pages — so listeners can explore your catalog and stay current without you manually updating anything.

Each episode offers flexible listening: fans can play directly on your podcast page with an embedded player, or jump out to their preferred app via links to platforms like Spotify and Apple Podcasts (plus any others you publish to).

Will new episodes update automatically?
Yes, after you add the RSS URL to the builder, beehiiv imports your show details and episodes. As you publish new episodes with your host, your page updates automatically — no manual uploads.
Can I embed a video podcast?
Yes. beehiiv supports embedding YouTube videos on your site. Or, if your podcast publishes episodes or trailers on YouTube, you can embed the channel or playlist for the show so viewers can watch directly on your site (see step 3 above).
Can I customize the look of my Podcast page?

You control the look and layout of your feed and episode cards:

• Layout: Number of items, number of columns, gaps, padding, horizontal scroll on/off, scroll style, and color.
• Cards: Card padding, card gaps, text spacing, border style, corner radius, background color.
• Thumbnails: Image radius, ratio (square, etc.), fit (contain), show/hide play button.
• Text: Header/body fonts, sizes, weights, colors, alignment, title line count, show/hide date.

All of this lets you match your podcast page to your brand without coding anything. Additionally, customizing the look of podcast pages is on our roadmap. 

Do you offer podcast features in beehiiv newsletters as well?

Yes. We offer a few different audio options for sharing your content. You can:

• Use beehiiv’s built-in podcast feed to automatically convert newsletter posts into podcast episodes and distribute them to major platforms.
• Or instead of a podcast, you can simply include an audio version of your newsletter.

These audio options are separate from the Podcast block in the Website Builder, which uses the RSS URL of any podcast.

Do I need to enable RSS in my account beforehand to use this feature?
No. The RSS settings in your publication are independent from any podcast RSS URLs you feature on your website.
