Recurring email series lets you automate a newsletter to send on a set cadence (daily, weekly, or monthly) without manually rescheduling each time. Once configured, your series runs automatically on the schedule you define.
This is especially useful for publishers who send consistent content on a predictable schedule, such as a weekly roundup or a daily briefing. Rather than returning to reschedule the same post after every send, you set it once and let beehiiv handle the rest.
This article covers how to configure and schedule a recurring email series from the Post Builder.
How to set up a recurring email series
- Open the post you want to schedule as a recurring series, or create a new one.
- The Post Builder will open on the Compose page. Add the RSS block to your post where you want to feed to appear.
- Click the Settings icon above the RSS block and enable the Refresh feed on send option.
- When done drafting the post, go to the Review page and click Schedule.
- Under the scheduling section, select Schedule recurring series as the send type.
Configure your recurrence settings:
- Start and end dates: Set when the first and last sends should occur.
- Frequency: Choose how often the email sends, daily, weekly, or monthly.
- Time: Set the exact hour and minute.
- Timezone: Confirm the time zone for the send schedule.
-
Email notification settings: Specify how far in advance (by days, hours, or minutes) beehiiv should create a draft of the post in your account, giving you time to add ads or make any one-off changes before it goes out.
- Review your settings and click Schedule recurring series at the bottom to activate it.
- To cancel a recurring email series…
Pro Tip:
Pair your recurring email series with an RSS block to fully automate your newsletter
content.
Add the RSS block to your post
and enable Refresh feed on send in the RSS block's settings,
and it will automatically pull your latest content at send time, so every edition
goes out fresh without any manual updates.
