Adjusting typography and font sizes in the Website Builder
The Website Builder gives you two levels of typography control: global settings that apply across your entire site, and block-level settings that apply to individual elements on a page. This article covers both.
How to adjust site typography globally
Global typography settings control the default font family, size, and weight for headings, body text, and buttons across your entire site. Changes here apply across all pages at once.
- From the left panel dashboard, go to Website > Builder.
- Click the Settings icon in the left toolbar.
- Click Themes, and then select Edit Theme.
-
A module will appear with the following theme settings. Update them as desired, then click Save.
Global theme settings:
- Name: The name of your theme, you can rename it with new changes.
- Heading font: Used for titles and section headers.
- Body font: Used for paragraphs and general content.
- Button font: Used for call-to-action buttons.
- Core color: The background color of your site.
- Accent color: Highlights key elements like buttons and callouts.
- Primary color: Main text color used for headings and paragraph text.
- Secondary color: Used for text elements like links or borders.
- Tertiary color: Used for borders and dividers.
- Border radius: Controls the roundness of corners on buttons, cards, and other elements. Use the slider to adjust.
Adjusting typography for a specific element
To change the font size or style of a single element without affecting the rest of your site:
- Open the Website Builder and navigate to the page you want to edit.
- Click the element on the canvas to select it.
- In the Design panel on the right, select the Style or Layout tab.
- Adjust the font family, size, weight, or color as needed. Changes apply to this element only.
Website Builder vs. Post Builder: Font availability
The fonts available in the Website Builder — including Google Fonts and any custom fonts you've uploaded — are separate from the fonts available in the Post Builder for email newsletters. Email clients have limited font support, so the Post Builder uses a curated set of email-safe fonts to ensure consistent rendering across inboxes.
If you're trying to match your website's look in your newsletter, choose the closest available option in the Post Builder's Style panel under Basic > Typography.
To upload custom fonts for use on your website, see How to use custom fonts with your website.
