Account dashboard overview
When you log into your beehiiv account, the dashboard provides a real-time snapshot of your publication’s key metrics. You can track subscriber growth, monitor email performance, review earnings, and access helpful resources, all from one place.
If you’re just getting started, you’ll first be guided through the onboarding steps to set up your account. Once complete, your dashboard may look empty at first. As you begin publishing email posts, insights will populate and become more valuable over time.
Key Metrics
At the top of the dashboard, you’ll find your quick-glance metrics: Active subscribers, Open rate, Click-through rate (CTR), and Earnings.
Once you’ve published posts, you’ll start to earn badges that will be featured along the top of the dashboard. You’ll also see percentage change indicators above each metric, showing how performance has shifted over time.
Use the timeframe selector on the right to adjust the view by hours, days, weeks, months or all time. The dashboard defaults to the last 4 weeks, and changing the timeframe on one updates all of the charts on the page.
View metrics for your publication’s:
- Active subscribers: Displays the total number of Active subscribers in your account. Paused subscribers are included as Active, while Pending or Inactive subscribers are not.
- Open rate: Shows the percentage of subscribers who opened your emails.
- Click-through rate (CTR): Shows the percentage of clicks relative to the emails that were opened.
- Earnings: Displays the total revenue generated from ads and Boosts (when enabled), excluding paid subscriptions.
Achievement Badges
As your newsletter grows, you’ll unlock achievement badges in your account that can be shared on social media. These badges highlight your progress and engagement within the beehiiv community.
Earn badges for:
- Writing Streaks: Each time you publish a post, it contributes to your weekly streak.
- Recognitions: Earn badges for the number of Top 4 recommendations your publication is featured in.
- Community Engagement: Score badges for helping other publishers grow their subscriber base through your recommendations.
Click on any badge to download it or share it directly to social media.
