Updating your beehiiv profile
Your beehiiv profile displays your name and photo as the author of your newsletter, providing readers with a clear view of who creates the content they receive.
When a reader clicks your author name, they’ll see your bio, social links (if provided), and all the posts on the publication where you’re credited as an author.
Your profile information, including your bio, will also appear on your author page if you’ve enabled it in your account.
Quick tips to get you started
- If you wish to register for the beehiiv Partner Program, you must have both your first and last name filled out in your profile settings.
- All beehiiv publication sites come equipped with an Authors Page that can be activated at any time.
- Your profile is unique to your account. If you are a team member of another publication, your profile settings will also appear there when your name is selected as an author.
- If you are a guest author on a publication, your profile information won’t be automatically linked. The publication admin will need to manually add your details.
- The gray and white social icons at the top of your published posts are social sharing links, not your personal social profiles. These icons enable your readers to share your entire newsletter on social media platforms like Facebook or X (formerly Twitter).
- The social links you add to your profile are specifically for your personal author bio, not for your publication.
- Your profile image is not the same as your publication logo in beehiiv.
How to update your beehiiv profile
- Log into your account and click on your profile in the top-right corner of the navigation bar. From the dropdown menu, select Personal Info.
- First, add your profile picture by clicking the beehiiv icon. We recommend using a profile picture that is 800x800 px.
- Next, add your first and last name. Your changes will save automatically.
- If you'd like, you can add a bio — a brief description of yourself for your profile. This is a good opportunity to include any credentials or relevant information you'd like to share. Your changes will save automatically, and we recommend that your bio be 100 characters long.
- If desired, add your social handles. Your changes will change automatically.
