What’s available during a free trial

Here's what you can expect once you've selected your free Scale or Max plan trial: 

Access to select paid features

During your free trial period, you'll have access to our support team via the Help page in your account and many of our paid features as outlined below.

While in trial, your account is technically subscribed to the free Launch plan, but with temporary access to higher-tier features (excluding some). Trial accounts are also subject to the respective limits of the plan; for example, you can only send emails to up to 2,500 subscribers, even if your import limit exceeds this number.

If you choose not to upgrade to a paid plan when your trial ends, your account will remain on the free Launch Plan.

Features not included in the free trial

Feature	Description
Ad Network	Monetize your newsletter with the Ad Network. Accept, distribute, and earn from relevant ads featured in beehiiv publications.
Beta features	The option to test new beta features is not available during the trial period.
Boosts	While you can browse the Boosts marketplace during your trial, you won't be able to apply to offers or create your own.
NewsletterXP Course	Access to the NewsletterXP Course is available during the trial period, but it is not free. You'll need to pay the standard course fee.
Multiple Publications	The option to create more than 3 publications is not available during the trial period.
Multiple Users	There can only be one user (the workspace Owner) during the free trial period.
Paid Subscriptions	Setting up paid subscriptions is not available during the trial period.
Priority Support	During the trial, you can submit support tickets, but they will be handled with standard priority.
Private Branding	The option to remove the beehiiv branding from your publication is not available during the trial period.
RSS to Send	The RSS Ingestion feature (also known as RSS to Send) is not available during the trial period; however, RSS Feed access is included.
Website Builder Templates	During your trial, you’ll have access to most Website Builder templates. While you can use both Basic and Advanced templates, those marked with an ‘Upgrade' label are only available on paid plans and can’t be applied to your site until you upgrade.

Audio Newsletter	Transform your written content into an engaging audio experience for your readers by enabling the audio newsletter feature. Available on Max trial only.
Automations	Create email journeys that are tailored for your subscribers with our robust automation features.
Podcasts	Convert your newsletter posts into podcast episodes and distribute them to all the major platforms. Available on Max trial only. Note: After the trial period ends, you won’t be able to create new podcast episodes or edit your show details, but your existing RSS feed and published episodes will remain active.
Polls	Keep your subscribers more engaged and entertained by adding polls to your publications.
Referral Program	Incentivize and reward subscribers with your own Referral Program.
Support Tickets	Get direct access to our team of experts by submitting a support ticket directly from your account.
Surveys	Gather data from subscribers right from your newsletter and then use the data to tailor your content.
Website Builder	Design a beautifully customized website for your publication using the Website Builder. Get started quickly with professionally designed templates, flexible styling options, and an intuitive drag-and-drop interface. You can also: Publish surveys and customize your survey page. Add one signup flow and connect it to an automation. Elements you can customize (upgrade required to publish): Custom Pages Upgrade Page HTML Blocks Pricing Blocks Note: Any customizations made to custom pages, upgrade pages, HTML blocks, or pricing blocks require an upgrade to a paid plan in order to publish and retain them after your trial ends. Surveys published during the trial will be unpublished once the trial ends unless you upgrade. Signup flows connected to automations will become inactive after the trial unless you move to a paid plan.
