How it works

Inbound opportunities
Browse available ad offers anytime in your Ad Network dashboard — updated in real time.

Select ad placements
We understand that not all brands will be a good fit for your newsletter, so you always have full control over which ads you run.

Get paid
We'll tell you how much you earned after the sponsored send goes out, and you'll receive payment a few weeks after the send. We manage tracking, engagement metrics, reporting, and invoicing for every dedicated email or sponsored placement.
Why email newsletter sponsorships work
Email newsletter sponsorships put brands inside trusted inboxes, alongside content that audiences already value. That trust drives higher engagement, better conversion rates, and long-term relationships between sponsors, creators, and readers.

Got Questions?
How do I join the Ad Network?
The Ad Network is available to anyone on one of our paid plans who is actively sending on beehiiv. Once eligible, you'll automatically start seeing ad offers in your Ad Network dashboard — no action needed on your end.
When do I receive payment for an ad placement?
Payouts are sent on the 20th of each month for the prior month's ad earnings. For example, on February 20th you'd be paid for all ad revenue earned in January. All payments are deposited directly into your beehiiv wallet.
How do I receive payment for an ad placement?
Payments are processed through Stripe. Once set up, earnings are deposited into your beehiiv wallet on the 20th of each month for the prior month's ad revenue. Some accounts may use Mercury for payment processing — if applicable, you'll receive a specific invitation to set up your account.
How much money can I earn from the Ad Network?
beehiiv ad campaign payouts are based on CPM (cost per mille) or CPC (cost per click).
CPM pays based on unique opens — you earn a set amount per 1,000 unique opens. For example, a $10 CPM with 10,000 unique opens earns you $100.
CPC pays based on verified unique clicks. For example, a $2 CPC with 100 verified clicks earns you $200.
Each offer displays an estimated payout before you reserve it.
How will I know if an ad is performing well?
You'll receive a performance recap approximately 96 hours after your send, including a full breakdown of clicks, opens, and earnings. You can also view detailed analytics for every published ad in the Reports tab of your Ads dashboard. Over time, running more ads helps you identify which advertisers and formats resonate best with your audience.
Is the expected payout guaranteed?
No — the estimated payout is based on your newsletter's historical performance and prior campaign data. Actual earnings depend on how your audience engages with the ad. Some ads will perform better than others, and your final payout reflects verified performance after the send.
Can I run other ads in the same newsletter, in addition to one from the beehiiv Ad Network?
Yes. The beehiiv Ad Network is non-exclusive. You can include a beehiiv ad alongside other ad partners. Keep in mind that too many ads in a single send can negatively impact deliverability and engagement.
What if I don't like the advertiser? Do I need to run it?
No. You always have full discretion over which offers you run. If an offer isn't the right fit, simply downvote it or ignore it. Downvoting sends a signal to our model to improve the relevance of future offers shown to you.
What are the different versions of the ad presented?
Advertisers typically provide multiple creative versions of their ad. When you reserve or add an offer, you can select the version that best matches your audience and the tone of your newsletter.
Do I have to provide any ad reporting to beehiiv?
No. beehiiv handles all reporting automatically. We track sponsored link clicks and calculate payouts using our own reporting tools. You can view your performance metrics in the Ads dashboard at any time.
Can I work with my own advertisers if I am in the Ad Network?
Yes. The beehiiv Ad Network is non-exclusive. You can run Ad Network offers alongside your own direct advertiser relationships.
Can I run ads provided by beehiiv and also monetize my newsletter in other ways?
Absolutely. Ad Network offers work alongside paid subscriptions, Boosts, and any direct sponsorships you manage independently.
What types of publishers does the beehiiv Ad Network work best for?
The Ad Network is a strong fit for:
- Publishers who want to monetize through ads without managing an in-house ad sales operation
- Publishers with open ad slots or remnant inventory alongside direct advertisers
- Publishers who need to fill last-minute gaps when a direct deal falls through
beehiiv acts as your external ad sales team — handling advertiser sourcing, campaign management, and reporting end-to-end.
How does this compare to other platforms?
beehiiv's Ad Network is built specifically for newsletter publishers, bringing sponsor sourcing, creative management, analytics, and payout processing together in one place — no extra tools or manual work required. The on-demand model means you're always seeing a real-time feed of relevant offers, with full control over what you run and when.
