Retention

In beehiiv, retention refers to the in-product options shown when a subscriber begins to cancel, designed to reduce churn via a configurable Subscriber Retention Flow.

The flow can present options to pause their subscription for 1, 3, or 6 months, offer a downgrade discount in lieu of canceling, and provide a downgrade survey to understand why they left. Subscribers access these options from the Subscriber Preferences Center, reachable from their profile or links in the email footer.
