Best Klaviyo Alternatives for E-Commerce & Newsletter Growth (2026)

A Side-By-Side Comparison of Prices and Features

Last Updated: March 2026

Choosing the wrong email platform can lead to years of pain and expense.

You might get stuck paying a small fortune every month for features you don’t need. Or worse, you’ll have to set up complex integrations just to get features that your chosen platform doesn’t have.

Many email marketers look to Klaviyo as a one-size-fits-all solution, but you might be missing out on a better Klaviyo alternative that fits your particular situation.

Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing

We've reviewed some of the most promising alternatives of Klaviyo for 2026. Here's what we've discovered:

Best Klaviyo Alternatives in 2026: An Overview

First, here are the takeaways:

  • Every email marketing platform offers different features at different price points

  • Each platform is ideal for a different type of business

  • Start with the features you need. Then, compare the pricing for different Klaviyo alternatives

Table of Contents

You can click on the links for a deeper look into any of these Klaviyo alternatives that interest you. We’ll be diving into them all. But first, we want to give you a side-by-side comparison.

We’ll compare pricing in a moment.

A Quick Comparison of Alternatives of Klaviyo

Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing

It’s important to note that all of these platforms have most of the features you would expect – automation, analytics and reporting, the ability to easily design your emails, etc. The key differences are in what they emphasize and how they charge you. So let’s look at pricing.

Each platform has its own way of setting prices. We’ve compared them by the number of contacts since this is a common criterion.

All prices shown below are by the month. Many platforms offer a discount if you pay for a year in full.

Finally, when a platform offers different plans, the cost for their mid-tier plan is shown, unless there is a free plan.

Why Businesses Look for Klaviyo Alternatives

Klaviyo is a powerful platform — but it's not the right tool for everyone. Here's why so many businesses are actively looking for alternatives in 2026.

Expensive, and getting more so.

Klaviyo has raised prices three times in the past four years, with the latest increase of roughly 25%. At entry level, you're paying $45/month for just 1,001–1,500 contacts. Scale that to 10,000 contacts and you're looking at $150/month — while competitors like Omnisend, Brevo, and beehiiv offer comparable or superior features for significantly less.

You're paying for features you don't need.

Unlike most platforms that tier features by plan, Klaviyo bundles all features — including enterprise-grade tools like portfolio management — into every plan. Smaller businesses and newsletter creators end up subsidizing capabilities designed for large agencies that they'll never use.

No landing page builder.

Klaviyo still doesn't include a landing page builder — a feature that comes standard on most competing platforms. If you need landing pages, you're paying for a separate tool.

The learning curve is steep.

Klaviyo's interface is built for data-heavy e-commerce workflows. For smaller teams or creators without dedicated marketing resources, the platform can feel overwhelming and time-consuming to set up.

It's not built for newsletter creators.

Klaviyo is optimised for e-commerce product marketing — tracking purchases, abandoned carts, and product recommendations. If your primary goal is publishing and monetising a newsletter, you'll find purpose-built platforms like beehiiv offer far more relevant tools: a built-in Ad Network, a paid subscription infrastructure, referral programs, and audience growth features that Klaviyo simply doesn't have.

The Monthly Price of Klaviyo Alternatives

Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing

beehiiv: The High-Volume Alternative to Klaviyo

Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing
Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing

beehiiv was built for rapid growth, as users such as Robin Arzón and Saeed Ezzati can attest.

The platform offers several programs and tools to grow your contacts without relying on social media and advertising.

beehiiv’s referral tool enables you to reward subscribers who refer your newsletter to new readers. The platform tracks and automates this activity, making it simple and easy.

beehiiv also supports Boosts, in which you pay the owners of similar or complementary newsletters to promote you. You pay a fixed price per new subscriber, and you only pay when they sign up.

Finally, beehiiv users cross-promote each other’s newsletters by recommending them with a few simple clicks.

There’s a lot more to say about beehiiv as a Klaviyo alternative, but let’s break down some of the most important features.

Features of beehiiv

  • A no-code email design and editor that allows you to customize every aspect of your emails

  • AI tools for visual and written content creation

  • Simplified A/B testing on paid plans

  • Unlimited sends

  • Send to segments and create automations on paid plans

  • Polls and surveys on paid plans

  • Advanced 3D analytics and reporting

  • Automatically post your emails on an SEO-optimized blog

One of beehiiv’s Disadvantages

Having planted their flag as the must-have for creators, beehiiv doesn’t offer SMS or many tools for e-commerce or CRM.

That being said, beehiiv offers hundreds of integrations that can help you easily connect beehiiv to other marketing softwares and tools.

What Makes beehiiv Great

In addition to helping creators build a large audience affordably, the platform enables users to monetize their lists.

The beehiiv Ad Network lets users insert ads into their emails with a few clicks. Users can boost other beehiiv newsletters (as described above) to generate another income stream.

beehiiv also supports paid subscriptions on the Scale plan and above, effectively turning creators into publishers.

beehiiv Pricing

New users can get a free trial of almost all of beehiiv’s paid features, giving you the opportunity to try-before-you-buy and experience the options for yourself.

Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing

Practically all email marketing platforms punish rapid growth. If you gain a sudden spike in subscribers due to unexpected publicity or a successful marketing campaign, your monthly costs could also spike.

When this happens before you’re able to monetize the new contacts, you’ll take a big hit to your bottom line.

beehiiv has the antidote to this problem, supporting large lists at a relatively low price.

Launch (Free): Up to 2,500 subscribers, unlimited email sends, custom website, newsletter builder, analytics dashboard, Recommendation Network, custom domains — all at no cost.

Scale — $43/month (billed annually): Everything in Launch, plus access to the Ad Network, Boosts marketplace, 0% take rate on paid subscriptions, digital products, email automations, surveys & polls, advanced website analytics, and team seats (3 seats).

Max — $96/month (billed annually): Everything in Scale, plus unlimited team members and priority support.

Enterprise — Custom pricing: Everything in Max, plus unlimited publications, a dedicated account manager, and concierge onboarding.

Pros and Cons of beehiiv:

  • Best-in-class free plan — 2,500 subscribers, unlimited sends, full analytics, custom website

  • Built-in monetisation: Ad Network, Boosts marketplace, paid subscriptions with 0% platform fees

  • Purpose-built for newsletter growth with referral programs and the Recommendation Network

  • No e-commerce complexity — clean, fast, newsletter-focused interface Cons:

  • Not designed for e-commerce — no product recommendations, abandoned cart flows, or Shopify-native integrations

  • Smaller template library than platforms like Mailchimp

beehiiv on G2: 4.5/5 stars based on 36 reviews "The newsletter builder feels very smooth, especially with features like audience segmentation, built-in analytics, referral program, and easy campaign scheduling that help manage subscribers effectively." — G2 Reviewer, 2026

beehiiv Verdict

beehiiv is the best Klaviyo alternative for newsletter creators and publishers who want to grow and monetise their audience with built-in tools — not e-commerce integrations.

How To Get Started With beehiiv

It’s easy to start a beehiiv newsletter and take advantage of the free trial.

Once you’re in, you can quickly build your subscriber list using TikTok, LinkedIn, or X (formerly Twitter).

Use beehiiv’s latest Resource Roundup to make sure that you’re taking advantage of every available feature.

Then, grow, monetize, scale, and be glad you looked to beehiiv as an alternative to Klaviyo.

Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing
Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing

Mailchimp used to be one of the most popular email platforms – and with good reason.

While Mailchimp presents itself as a comprehensive email platform, there’s one thing they do particularly well: Sell stuff using automated emails.

Features

  • Email templates:  Mailchimp offers more than 100 pre-built, customizable templates. These designs support video, “Buy” buttons, gifs, and many other features. There’s a library of stock images and an AI “creative assistant” that can help design graphics for your emails.

  • A/B testing: Paid plans include A/B testing for several elements such as design, send time, content, and subject lines.

  • Automation: Mailchimp lets you create Customer Journeys based on specific triggers. For example, when someone signs up for your email list, it may trigger a welcome sequence that sells a product. If they make a purchase, it triggers further automated actions.

  • Segmentation: Send targeted messages to specific groups of people you identify based on their activity, when and how they joined your list, or special tags that you customize.

  • Reporting and analytics: The basic reporting included in every plan helps you to understand your data. At the Standard level and above, you have more analytics, including comparative reporting, which allows you to compare different campaigns over time to see what's really working.

One of Mailchimp’s Disadvantages

Mailchimp isn't always simple and intuitive to use. Chat support often refers users to articles that are confusing and sometimes outdated.

What Makes Mailchimp Great

Even on the moderately-priced Standard plan, you can set up multiple automations and customer journeys, which save time and give customers a better experience.

Pricing

Free plan: 250 contacts and 500 monthly email sends. Note: Mailchimp reduced the free plan from 500 to 250 contacts in January 2026.

Essentials (from $13/month): Starts at 500 contacts. Includes email templates, scheduling, A/B testing, and behavioral targeting.

Standard (from $20/month): Everything in Essentials, plus the Customer Journey Builder, advanced segmentation, and send-time optimisation.

Premium (from $350/month): Designed for large-scale operations — includes advanced segmentation, multivariate testing, and priority support.

Pros and Cons of Mailchimp:

  • 100+ professionally designed email templates

  • 300+ integrations including e-commerce, CRM, and social platforms

  • Strong analytics dashboard with industry benchmarks and revenue-per-email reporting

  • Multi-channel: includes SMS, landing pages, social posting Cons:

  • Free plan restricted to 250 contacts (reduced from 500 in January 2026)

  • SMS and transactional emails are paid add-ons, not included in standard plans

  • Premium plan ($350/mo) is expensive for small businesses

Mailchimp on G2: 4.3/5 stars based on 12,890 reviews "Mailchimp is a solid email marketing tool with an intuitive interface and a wide range of templates that make it easy to get started quickly." — G2 Reviewer, 2026

Mailchimp Verdict

Mailchimp is a solid Klaviyo alternative for businesses that need an all-in-one marketing platform with e-commerce features, templates, and multi-channel campaigns.

HubSpot: The Comprehensive Klaviyo Alternative

Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing
Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing

Hubspot has several comprehensive platforms, known as “Hubs.” These include a Marketing Hub, a Sales Hub, as well as Service, CRM, Operations, and Commerce Hubs.

To create an even richer selection, Hubspot offers versions of each Hub for businesses and enterprises, as well as for individuals and small teams.

If you have the budget and the need, HubSpot can integrate all of these features into a seamless, all-powerful marketing machine.

Features

Hubspot offers a suite of email marketing tools, including analytics and a free email builder. What you get depends on your size, budget, and which Hub or Hubs you choose.

To keep things simple, we’ll focus on the email features of the Marketing Hub.

  • Email: Even their free version allows up to 1,000 contacts and 2,000 sends/month with HubSpot branding.

  • Automation: Users can create sign-up forms with automation (such as a welcome sequence), and all plans support segmentation. Paid plans offer more automation features and better segmentation.

  • Web pages: Marketing Hub supports landing pages with increased features based on your plan. Users can also have a blog with HubSpot branding (free plan), all the way to 100 unbranded blogs on the Professional plan. Users can create versions of pages and blog posts in multiple languages.

  • Ads and social media: All plans support all ad types and retargeting. Facebook Messenger is also supported, but messages contain HubSpot branding on the free plan.

  • Teams: The Business and Enterprise Marketing Hub supports hundreds of email inboxes, as well as several extra tools for reporting, sharing, and collaborating.

  • Support: Paid plans offer email and chat support, with phone support on the Professional plan.

In addition, the Marketing Hub includes several e-commerce features such as product libraries, the ability to accept payments in different currencies, and integration with SalesForce. The higher end plans also include video management and additional integrations with WhatsApp and other tools.

One of HubSpot’s Disadvantages

As the jack of all trades, HubSpot is arguably the master of none. If a specific feature matters more to you than anything else, there’s probably another platform that does it better than HubSpot.

What Makes Hubspot Great

Whether you’re a large company or a lone entrepreneur still shackled with a day job, HubSpot can offer a plan that works for you.

HubSpot Pricing

HubSpot's pricing reflects its status as an enterprise-grade platform. Below are the Marketing Hub plans:

Free: Up to 1,000 contacts, 2,000 email sends/month, HubSpot branding on all emails.

Starter — from ~$20/month (billed annually): Removes HubSpot branding, simple automation (welcome sequences), landing pages, and 1,000 marketing contacts included. Additional contacts available in tiers.

Professional — from ~$800–$890/month (billed annually): Includes 2,000 contacts and 3 core seats. Full automation workflows, advanced segmentation, SEO tools, custom reporting, and social media tools. Note: A one-time $3,000 onboarding fee is typically required.

Enterprise — Custom pricing: Everything in Professional, plus custom objects, adaptive testing, predictive lead scoring, and a dedicated account manager.

Pros and Cons of HubSpot Marketing Hub:

  • All-in-one platform covering CRM, email, sales, service, and operations

  • Free tier includes 1,000 contacts and 2,000 email sends/month

  • Best choice for businesses that want to unify all GTM tools in one platform

  • Excellent native integrations with sales workflows Cons:

  • Professional plan starts at $800–$890/month — pricing is prohibitive for most small businesses

  • Onboarding fee of $3,000 applies to Professional plans

  • Overkill for businesses that only need email marketing

HubSpot Marketing Hub on G2: 4.4/5 stars based on 14,528 reviews "HubSpot Marketing Hub is extremely powerful as a central GTM operations layer. As someone running growth systems, the integrations and automation depth are hard to beat." — G2 Reviewer, 2026

HubSpot Verdict

HubSpot is ideal for larger teams that need CRM, marketing, sales, and service tools in one platform — but it's often more than e-commerce-only businesses need.

  • Automation: The platform offers customizable workflow templates. You can adapt these to target your segments with evergreen marketing campaigns across multiple channels.

  • Email: Drip has an intuitive, visual email builder that’s centered around different e-commerce functions: Special offers, recommended bestsellers, and newsletters meant to build relationships. There are more than 50 templates. A/B testing is supported, and all paid plans include unlimited sends.

The strengths of Drip go beyond email. But if you’re looking to build an e-commerce business, Drip is one of the more clever alternatives to Klaviyo.

One of Drip’s Disadvantages

If selling products online is not a significant part of your business, then there’s nothing exceptional about Drip.

What Makes Drip Great

Given the complexity of everything the platform does, Drip is surprisingly intuitive and easy to use.

Pricing

The cost is based on your list size. Drip offers a free, 14-day trial, which doesn’t require a credit card. All features are unlocked during the trial period except for unlimited emails.

After the trial, pricing is based on your contact list size:

$39/month — up to 2,500 contacts, unlimited email sends, all features included. Pricing scales as your list grows, reaching up to $1,999/month for very large lists.

There is only one plan — every Drip user gets access to the full feature set including automation workflows, behaviour-based segmentation, and e-commerce integrations.

Pros and Cons of Drip:

  • All-in-one single plan — full feature set from day one, no plan upgrades needed

  • Deep e-commerce integration with behaviour-driven automations

  • 14-day free trial, no credit card required

  • 50+ email templates with intuitive visual builder Cons:

  • No free plan after trial

  • Relatively high starting price ($39/mo) for small lists

  • Not well-suited for non-e-commerce use cases like newsletters or B2B

Drip on G2: 4.4/5 stars based on 473 reviews "I use Drip for email marketing and automation, and I'm pa

rticularly pleased with its deep e-commerce integration. It helps transform raw store data into actionable insights." — G2 Reviewer, 2026

Drip Verdict

Drip is one of the best Klaviyo alternatives for online stores that want intuitive, behaviour-driven automations across the entire customer journey.

Campaign Monitor: The Lower-Cost Klaviyo Alternative

Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing
Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing

Campaign Monitor isn’t necessarily cheap, but users can get practically all of the features they need in their most basic plan. This plan includes segmentation, A/B testing, some limited automation, transactional emails, and dynamic content. These are all features that cost extra on many platforms.

Features

Campaign Monitor literally has pages of features. We’re going to focus on some of the features that come with the Lite plan, starting at $11/month, which most platforms don’t include at their lowest price points.

  • Marketing automation: Their pricing page says that automation is “limited to email send volume,” but we were unable to find any send limits. This limitation doesn’t apply at the next tier and beyond, so, ultimately, you have access to automation in every plan

  • Transactional emails: Transactional emails are messages to confirm an order, notify a customer when they are being charged, or inform them when a product is shipped.

  • Analytics: Track the performance of your email campaigns, even on the Lite plan. You can also conduct A/B tests.

  • Integrations: Campaign Monitor supports APIs and integrates with several tools and platforms around CRM, e-commerce, advertising, and more.

One of Campaign Monitor’s Disadvantages

The many email marketing features make Campaign Monitor ideal for e-commerce… yet you still need an e-commerce platform to take advantage of this quality.

What Makes Campaign Monitor Great

Users can access a surprising number of features with a low budget.

Campaign Monitor Pricing

Campaign Monitor doesn't have a free plan — but it does offer a limited free trial that lets you send to up to 5 recipients before committing.

Lite — from ~$11/month: Up to 500 contacts, approximately 2,500 emails/month, basic segmentation, A/B testing, and core automation features. A surprisingly full-featured entry-level plan.

Essentials — from ~$19/month: Unlimited email sends, more robust automation, enhanced customer support.

Premier — from ~$149/month: Everything in Essentials, plus advanced link tracking, email client testing, dedicated phone support, and priority service.

All plans scale in price based on subscriber count.

Pros and Cons of Campaign Monitor:

  • Strong feature set on the Lite plan (segmentation, A/B testing, some automation)

  • Clean, easy-to-use interface ideal for smaller teams

  • Reliable deliverability Cons:

  • No free plan — only a very limited trial (send to 5 recipients only)

  • Premier plan ($149+/mo) is expensive for the feature set compared to rivals

  • Less depth in e-commerce integrations than Klaviyo or Omnisend

Campaign Monitor on G2: 4.1/5 stars based on 717 reviews "One thing I appreciate is how user-friendly it feels compared to some other platforms I've tried. The navigation is clean, and setting up campaigns is straightforward." — G2 Reviewer, 2026

Campaign Monitor Verdict

Campaign Monitor offers surprisingly strong features on its Lite plan, making it a good budget-friendly Klaviyo alternative for basic e-commerce email.

Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing

We’re going to focus on Brevo’s Marketing Platform, which includes email.

Features

  • Email marketing campaigns: Brevo has all of the usual tools to create and send email campaigns and newsletters. With its extensive template library, you’re likely to find a design that works for your brand.

  • Marketing automation: Users can segment and automate emails, SMS, and even WhatsApp campaigns.

  • Sign-up forms and landing pages: Brevo’s drag-and-drop editor makes it easy to create pages that build your list and increase conversions.

One of Brevo’s Disadvantages:

Users need an upper-level plan to remove Brevo’s branding from all of their content.

What Makes Brevo Great

Brevo is very affordable for smaller email lists, as an all-in-one digital marketing tool.

Brevo Pricing

Brevo uses a volume-based pricing model — you pay based on how many emails you send per month, not the number of contacts you store. All plans support unlimited contacts.

Free: Up to 300 emails/day (9,000/month), all basic editing tools, WhatsApp and SMS campaigns. All emails carry the Brevo logo. No advanced analytics or phone support.

Starter — $9/month (monthly) / $8.08/month (billed annually): Up to 5,000 emails/month. Removes daily sending limit for that volume, basic reporting, email support. Brevo logo can be removed as a paid add-on.

Business — from $18/month: Everything in Starter, plus advanced automation, A/B testing, predictive send-time optimisation, multi-user access, and phone support. Volume of emails included scales with price.

  • Unlimited contacts on all plans — pricing based only on email volume sent

  • Multi-channel: email, SMS, WhatsApp, push notifications, live chat

  • Starter plan at just $9/month Cons:

  • Brevo branding on all emails in the free tier (paid add-on to remove)

  • Business plan features like automation are not available on Starter

  • Phone support only available on Business and Enterprise plans

Brevo Verdict

Brevo is the best free Klaviyo alternative, offering unlimited contacts and multi-channel messaging — email, SMS, and WhatsApp — at a fraction of the cost.

Omnisend: The “Better Than Email” Klaviyo Alternative

Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing
Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing

Email is only a fifth of what Omnisend does well. Their motto, “One platform, five channels,” sums up their capabilities.

Omnisend has all of the features you would expect in an email platform. They also have SMS campaigns, push notifications, and retargeting across Google and Meta.

This might all be a bit much if you just want to publish a newsletter and you’re not concerned with abandoned shopping carts and similar issues. But if you have an e-commerce business and you’re looking for a comprehensive solution, Onmisend might be one of the more promising alternatives of Klaviyo.

Features

  • Email: Omnisend offers email templates and a drag-and-drop editor. You can segment your audiences and create automated journeys. The ability to offer discount codes and to create transactional emails makes this an Ecommerce friendly alternative to Klaviyo.

  • SMS marketing: Omnisend’s text marketing integrates with other marketing channels, or it can be used for one-off campaigns. This feature is fueled by prebuilt automations, which make it quick and easy to do a one-off campaign or handle common issues such as cart abandonment.

  • Shopper retargeting: Imagine a customer receiving a push notification with a special coupon code while browsing a particular product. Tactics like this can give you conversion rates of 30%.

  • Flexible segmentation: Omnisend synchronizes with Google Customer Match. Shopping activity automatically places customers in segments that determine which emails they receive and which ads they see. A change in status or activity will remove them from a segment, and they will no longer see the same ads.

  • Retargeting in Meta: Potential customers who have viewed one of your products will see ads pertaining to that product. Flexible segmentation ensures that your customers see hyper-targeted ads on Facebook and Instagram.

One of Omnisend’s Disadvantages

The creation of high-quality content is sacrificed for the targeting and delivery of content.

What Makes Omnisend Great

One of the things that really sets Omnisend apart is that all plans include all features. You don’t need to upgrade just to get the features you want. You’ll upgrade when the size of your list requires it.

Omnisend Pricing

Free: Up to 250 contacts, 500 emails/month, 60 SMS credits, unlimited web push notifications, all core features included.

Standard — from $16/month: Up to 500 contacts, 6,000 emails/month (12× your contact count), unlimited web push notifications, 24/7 support, and $1 in free global SMS credits to try.

Pro — from $59/month: Up to 2,500 contacts, unlimited emails, unlimited web push notifications, advanced reporting, plus a monthly SMS credit allowance included. Pricing scales based on contact count.

Pros and Cons of Omnisend:

  • The closest direct competitor to Klaviyo for e-commerce — at roughly a third of the price at comparable volumes

  • Five channels in one: email, SMS, push notifications, Google retargeting, Facebook custom audiences

  • Free plan included

  • Strong pre-built automation workflows for e-commerce (abandoned cart, welcome series, etc.) Cons:

  • Pro plan ($59/mo) pricing starts to climb quickly with list growth

  • Designed exclusively for e-commerce — not suitable for newsletters or B2B

  • Less brand recognition than Klaviyo for enterprise buyers

Omnisend on G2: 4.6/5 stars based on 1,166 reviews "What I like best about Omnisend is how intuitive the UX is. Within 10–20 minutes you get the hang of it — which matters when you're onboarding new clients and need to move quickly." — G2 Reviewer, 2026

Omnisend Verdict

Omnisend is the closest direct Klaviyo competitor for Shopify and e-commerce businesses — with similar features at roughly a third of the price.

The Constant Contact templates for email and landing pages won’t always give users 100% creative control; but if you want to create something fast with your logo and branding, it’ll do the trick.

Again, simplicity is Constant Contact’s strength.

Other useful features include:

  • Automations

  • A/B testing

  • Segmentation

  • Analytics and reporting

  • SMS messaging

  • Integration with popular tools and platforms

One really cool thing we like about Constant Contact is the detailed event management features, even with the lowest plans. Users can create registration forms, collect payments for events, and even create tickets and coupon codes.

This is all very useful if you want to grow your list or generate income through webinars or other live events.

One of Constant Contact’s Disadvantages

Constant Contact has a complicated and convoluted pricing structure.

What Makes Constant Contact Great

Constant Contact is the only platform with specialized tools just for managing live events. This makes it a good choice for coaches, performing artists, and others who put on a lot of events, whether virtual or in-person.

Pricing

If you are a non-profit organization and you’re willing to prepay at least 6 months, you can get a 20% to 30% discount on Constant Contact. To apply for the discount, send your Federal government Letter of Determination, 501 (c)3 or (c)6 if you are in the U.S or your country’s equivalent documentation if you are outside of the U.S.

Constant Contact comes with a free, 60-day trial. After that, there are 3 plans:

  • Lite (starting at $12/month): This basic plan includes the use of email templates, and total sends are equal to 10x your number of contacts. Many features that we consider to be essential are missing from this plan, such as segmentation, A/B testing, and even the ability to schedule emails in advance.

  • Standard (Starting at $35/month): We consider this plan to be the bare minimum, since it allows users to schedule emails in advance. (This will save you from getting up at 4 a.m. just to hit “send.”) With the Standard plan, users get A/B testing, more detailed reports, some limited automation features, as well as segmentation.

  • Premium (Starting at $80/month): Some of the differences between Premium and Standard include the ability to add dynamic content to your emails and to design your own customized automation journeys. Reporting and analytics are also more detailed and versatile at the Premium level.

In addition to various add-ons that generally cost around $10/month each, the pricing for each plan goes up when you have 500 or more contacts.

We had to click around to find the “Tiered Pricing Fee Schedule” and then discovered that there was a different fee schedule for each of the three plans.

There’s no simple way to summarize this complex pricing structure in a chart, so we’ll give you a few examples from the Standard plan.

1,000 contacts: $55/month + add-ons

2,500 contacts: $75/month + add-on

10,000 contacts: $160/month + add-on

Pros and Cons of Constant Contact:

  • Best event marketing tools of any platform on this list

  • 60-day free trial — the longest of any tool here

  • Clean, beginner-friendly interface

  • Non-profit discount (20–30%) available Cons:

  • Limited automation compared to Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, or Omnisend

  • Pricing rises sharply with contact count

  • Not designed for e-commerce with the depth of Klaviyo or Omnisend

is the best Klaviyo alternative for businesses that rely on live events, webinars, and in-person marketing alongside email.

Adobe Marketo Engage as a Klaviyo Alternative

Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing
Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing

Like some of the other examples we looked at, Adobe Marketo Engage is far more than just an email marketing platform.

We had to sift through many features on Marketo’s main web page just to find the email capabilities. They include CRM, sales tracking, SEO, web design, an arsenal of analytics, and some very robust AI to interpret data.

Users can track customer activity, sales, pipelines, and even get recommendations and insights on how to direct your marketing.

Of course, email marketing is a part of the mix, but it’s only a single part of this huge and comprehensive platform.

If your business is at the Enterprise level, you'll love all the marketing automation offered by Marketo. Beyond merely sending emails or even posting on social media, Marketo can track the activity of your customers and hit them with the right message, at the right time, on the channel they're already on.

Features

Lead Management

  • Lead scoring: Rate a prospect’s level of interest based on their behavior as they interact with your content.

  • CRM integration: Track the actions taken by every lead. Marketo integrates well with Salesforce, Sales Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics for Sales, and SAP.

  • Multi-channel automations: Show up where your lead shows up in real-time. This can include email, websites, mobile, social media, and personalized URLs. Use AI to create personalized content that fits the actions of your lead.

  • Anonymous lead nurturing: Even before you have enough data to create a profile, you can track page visits, search terms, IP address, company size, and other prospect behaviors and attributes.

  • Marketing attribution: Powerful, easy-to-use reporting lets you see which activities in your funnel are generating the most revenue

Analytics

  • Campaign reporting and insights: A comprehensive ROI dashboard measures data such as cost, revenue, pipeline, and conversions. This enables you to find the best performing programs, whether you’re looking at the level of accounts or individual leads.

  • Advanced journey analytics: Quickly identify issues and opportunities by monitoring the entire customer journey.

  • Ad-hoc reporting: Create customized reports on demand. Users can choose the measurements, fields, and objects in these reports to focus on specific engagements

One of Marketo’s Disadvantages

The lack of published pricing (see below) implies that Marketo is only for enterprise clients with large budgets.

What Makes Marketo Great

If you can handle the presumably high ticket, you’re going to get a bespoke solution of the highest quality and utility.

Pricing

Adobe Marketo Engage does not publish its pricing. You'll need to contact Adobe directly for a custom quote. Given the enterprise-grade nature of the platform — and the scale of businesses it typically serves — costs are significant. Marketo is not a practical option for small or mid-size businesses and is best suited to enterprise-level organisations with dedicated marketing operations teams and budgets to match.

Pros and Cons of Adobe Marketo Engage:

  • Deepest B2B marketing automation platform available

  • Enterprise-grade lead scoring, CRM integration (Salesforce, MS Dynamics, SAP), and multi-channel campaign management

  • Highly customisable for complex enterprise workflows Cons:

  • No published pricing — enterprise costs are significant

  • Extremely high learning curve; requires dedicated marketing operations staff

  • Completely impractical for small or mid-size businesses

Adobe Marketo Verdict

Marketo is a Klaviyo alternative only for enterprise businesses with complex multi-channel marketing needs and the budget to match.

What Is the Best Klaviyo Alternative in 2026?

Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing

There are really only three factors for choosing the best Klaviyo alternative.

  1. The specific features you need

  2. The size of your list

  3. The size of your budget

We’ve sorted all of the best Klaviyo alternatives into four categories, based on list size and whether your business needs to emphasize email or e-commerce.

We suggest that you take a closer look at the platforms in the category that best fits your needs:

Best Klaviyo Alternatives To Boost Your Email Marketing

You may have noticed that beehiiv is the only Klaviyo alternative that stands alone in its category.

If creating excellent content is your core competency, beehiiv will keep your costs down while giving you the tools to grow and monetize.

Klaviyo Alternatives: Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best Klaviyo alternative for newsletter creators?

beehiiv is the best Klaviyo alternative for newsletter creators and publishers. While Klaviyo is designed for e-commerce product marketing — tracking purchases, abandoned carts, and product recommendations — beehiiv is purpose-built for growing and monetising newsletters. beehiiv includes a built-in Ad Network, Boosts marketplace for paid subscriber referrals, referral programs, paid subscriptions with 0% platform fees, and an SEO-optimised blog. Its free plan supports up to 2,500 subscribers with unlimited sends, making it one of the strongest free tiers on the market for newsletter creators specifically.

Is Klaviyo worth the price?

Klaviyo can be worth the price for larger e-commerce businesses that fully utilise its predictive analytics, advanced segmentation, and deep Shopify integration. However, after multiple price increases — the latest approximately 25% — many small and mid-size businesses are finding better value elsewhere. At 10,000 contacts, Klaviyo costs $150/month, while alternatives like Omnisend offer comparable e-commerce automation from $59/month, and Brevo supports unlimited contacts with volume-based pricing starting at $9/month. If you're not running a high-volume e-commerce operation that relies heavily on purchase-behaviour automation, you're likely paying for capabilities you don't need.

What is the cheapest Klaviyo alternative?

The cheapest depends on your use case. For unlimited contacts with volume-based pricing, Brevo starts at $9/month (or free for up to 300 emails/day). For newsletter creators specifically, beehiiv offers the strongest free tier — up to 2,500 subscribers with unlimited sends and a full analytics dashboard at zero cost. For e-commerce businesses, Omnisend's free plan supports up to 250 contacts with 500 emails/month, and its Standard plan starts at $16/month. If you want a full-featured trial before committing, both Drip (14 days) and ActiveCampaign (14 days) let you test the entire platform before paying anything.
